How to Backup iPhone to iCloud

First, make sure your device is connected to WiFi.

Open the Settings menu > go to [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage or iCloud Storage.
Select Buy More Storage or Change Storage Plan.
Choose the plan that suits you best (200GB is a good choice for most people).
Tap Buy and follow the onscreen instructions.
