Rumored stated that the company could be renamed as iPhoneOS, but this is not the case. Here are the features that Apple announced for the new iOS 14 operating system. Here are the iOS 14 features;
New Home Page
One of the big updates comes in the form of a new home screen. With iOS 14, you will now be able to remove apps from the home screen. It also offers App Library, a page-scrolling app from the home screen that houses all apps.
The new App Library automatically groups all apps into different folders. There is also universal search support. This new update brings one of the biggest changes to iOS over the years.
New Widgets
Widgets are not new to iOS, but the experience has been overhauled by Apple. Until now, widgets were available on the Today screen, but now they can also be dragged to the home screen.
Also, new widgets may have more information and come with support for new sizes. There is also a “Smart Stack” widget that can hold different widgets and be accessed with a swipe gesture.
New Siri Interface
Currently, when you open Siri, it takes up the full screen on the device. Now that is in the past. When you trigger Siri with iOS 14, a new Siri “blob” will appear at the bottom of the screen and the results will be displayed as rich notifications at the top of the screen.
New Call Screens
Similar to the new Siri blob, instead of capturing the entire screen when a call comes in, iOS 14 now displays incoming calls as a small banner at the top of the screen. This feature is very useful especially when you are doing something important on your phone and when a call comes in. In this case, if you want to ignore the call, you can continue to do the job.
Messages The
application, which is one of the important parts of the iOS experience, is receiving some important changes. You can now mention other people in a group and reply to messages inline. You can now give groups a name and a picture of themselves. Also, iOS 14 now allows you to pin up to nine messages.
